Educators International is a UK-registered charity comprising a network of highly-skilled education professionals, working in partnership with developing countries to help them implement system-level educational reforms.

What unites us is a passionate belief that every child and young person in the world should get a decent education, including as an absolute minimum acquiring the ability to read, write and understand number. Shamefully, for most children, that still does not happen. Despite vast investment in basic education over the past two decades there remains a huge gulf, even in these simple measures, between the outcomes for children attending school regularly in developing as opposed to developed countries.

It is an international disgrace - and one which we now know how to remedy securely. Educators International has developed highly innovative methods of teacher training and teacher-led assessment. We build these methods around mobile phones, a game-changer because they are now in the pocket of teachers even in the poorest countries.

Our products include PhonicsByPhone, MathsByPhone, AssessmentByPhone, TrackingByPhone, StoriesByPhone, BooksByPhone and more. They include an entire teacher-training intervention for primary literacy and numeracy, and a system for accurate testing of student performance, with results calibrated to internationally recognised tests, and reported securely from the teacher's phone to a live cloud-based database.

We have applied these techniques in very different circumstances in four continents, taken them to scale, and have yet to experience a failure. By these approaches, the proportion of children in any class learning to read fluently and handle number confidently does not increase just a bit, but hugely, even within a single year, at low and constantly reducing unit costs.

We are independent but work in cooperation with national and international agencies and any grouping large enough to make a system-level impact on teaching, learning and outcomes. We share all our rich intellectual property freely with our partners as we have no interest in making profit.

We have also developed PhonePrint, a revolutionary system (integrated software and hardware) enabling any smart phone user to print any text or images, anywhere, any time, at ultra-low cost. We use PhonePrint in our own educational projects, and also offer it to a world-wide market in order to raise funds for our charitable work.

We are currently actively engaged in projects in Africa (Ghana, Liberia and Zambia), South America (Colombia), Asia (India and potentially Bangladesh) and the Pacific (Fiji and Samoa). We are discussing and scoping opportunities in China and several other countries.
